World of women (by 2017 world women ) is an Austrian women's magazine that exists since 1946th

The magazine reflects on and evaluates the diverse relationships and references of women from a Christian point of view and aims to be a source of inspiration for a better personal quality of life .
The magazine was published from 1946 by the Katholisches Frauenwerk Austria under the title “Light of Life” and from 1964 appeared under the name “World of Women”. A four-year relaunch phase was completed in 2012. In 2018 the magazine was renamed World of Women , editor-in-chief Christine Haiden says: Women have many roles, that should be expressed in the title.
In addition to the women's magazine, the Welt-der-Frau- Verlag also produced the “World of Children's News ” as a joint product of the Kleine Zeitung and Upper Austria. News . Furthermore, meaning books and gift books, cookery and baking books as well as books dealing with questions of faith and life are produced and sold.

The magazine articles can be divided into the subject areas of cover story, love and life, belief and knowledge, amazement and enjoyment and variable main topics. In the “My opinion” column, editor-in-chief Christine Haiden takes a position on current issues. On the advice page “Good questions and clever answers”, among other things, educational advisor and guest author Jan-Uwe Rogge gives tips on how to deal with children .

In decades of cooperation with Caritas , the “World of Women” is committed to women, especially in Southeastern Europe . The projects change every two years. Over the years, the readers of the magazine u. a. donated for the following projects:
- Help for women and children in Siberia (kindergarten, day care center, mother-child home)
- Women in Kosovo (help for a life after that in the women's refuge )
- Women's project “Step by Step” in Petrosani
- Chernobyl action
- I-am-I - book sponsorship . The children's book Das kleine Ich-bin-ich was translated into Russian in 2012 for home children in Russia , Belarus and the Ukraine .
