World and Environment of the Bible (abbreviation WUB ) is the German edition of the French magazine Le Monde de la Bible . The published essays on archeology, art and history deal with topics that are located in the broadest sense in the context of the Bible .

The popular science magazine Welt und Umwelt der Bibel has been published by the Catholic Biblical Works in Stuttgart since 1996 . Archaeological advisor is Robert Wenning from Münster.

The quarterly issues each have a main topic, with articles by several scholars from the fields of archeology , theology and history . According to the name of the magazine, the topics are broad and range from the time of the biblical books and their reception history to current archaeological discoveries in the Levant and the ancient countries and peoples in the vicinity of the Holy Land .

The linking of different research areas in the sense of modern biblical archeology enables a differentiated view of the life of the people in the Middle East in the different historical and prehistoric epochs.
