The film tells of the rise and fall of the new economy company Biodata AG, which had up to 350 employees in 27 countries. The company developed security technology and was hailed as the star of Internet companies. In November 2001 the company filed for bankruptcy.

The film is a commissioned work for ZDF , the premiere date was February 3, 2005. The British indie band project Sophia was involved in the film music .

Awards

The film was awarded the Herbert Quandt Media Prize in 2005. In 2006 the film received the Adolf Grimme Prize .
