Stabbing power

Each suit consists of 6 card values whose ranking in terms of the power of the tricks (starting with the highest value) is: Ace > Tens> King > Nines> Eights> Sevens. The queens and jacks are not ranked in the colors, but act as permanent trumps (see below ).

As an additional color, diamonds are always trumps, whereby the hierarchy of card values within the trump suit is retained (see above ). Thus there are a total of 14 trumps.

Game types

Normal game

The Wendish Schafkopf is a partner game . The owners of the two black queens (queen of clubs and queen of spades) always play together.

wedding

If a player has the two black queens in hand, he can decide whether to play a solo or a wedding . If he decides on a wedding, he calls his teammate. In contrast to the Bavarian Schafkopf , this does not necessarily have to be an ace, the player can choose any card. However, he can also determine that whoever takes the first trick should be his teammate. He explains "The first strange trick goes with you!"

Solo games

If, on the other hand, the owner of the two black queens thinks his hand is strong enough to play the game alone, he says nothing (similar to the silent wedding in Doppelkopf ) and plays a silent solo against the other players. The trump suit does not change. In the Lust-Solo game form , a player declares after the card has been dealt that he wants to play alone. Queens and jacks remain as permanent trump cards. However, the solo player may determine the additional trump suit. In addition to the Karo-solo therefore also be able to cross-Solo , spades solo or heart-Solo are announced. The declarer does not necessarily have to own the two black women in a lust solo. Depending on the agreement, it can be determined that each player has to play a certain number of solo games within a game ( mandatory solo ).

Addition rules

With Wendisch Schafkopf, color is compulsory , which means that a playing card of the corresponding color must always be added to a color played. Mandatory trumps and compulsory tricks do not apply to Wendish Schafkopf.

Rating

The party of the two “old ones” (or the solo player) wins if it has at least 61 points, the party with less than 30 points is a tailor and if a party without any trick is black. The evaluation is based on an agreement made beforehand. It is customary to play from the cashier, into which each player pays a certain sum before the start of the game.

variants

As with many card games, there are also several variants of the Wendish Schafkopf:

Drewendsch

Basically, the same rules apply to the Dreiwendsch , the game of three, as to the Wendish Schafkopf. The distribution of cards is the same as in Skat , 3-4-3 cards. However, two cards are not placed in the middle after 1st, but only after 2nd. After splitting these 2 cards, the one with the queen of clubs picks up (according to the alternative rule, forehand) and exchanges them for 2 others. This player becomes declarer, the other two players together form the opposing party. So at Dreiwendsch there are only solo games. Only if none of the three players want to dare to play a solo game does everyone play against everyone.

Dreiwendsch with sharp cards

In a three-player game with so-called sharp cards , all nines, eights and sevens are removed from the deck so that there are only 20 cards left in the game. Each player is dealt 6 cards. In this variant, too, 2 cards are placed in the skat.

Wendischer Schafkopf for two

The starting situation at Wendisches Schafkopf for two

For this type of game, the full 32 playing card deck is required. Each player receives 16 cards. To this end, each player is dealt 2 rows of face-down cards, with 4 cards lying next to each other with the back side up. A card is then placed face-up on each of these face-down cards, so that each player has 8 face-down cards and 8 face-down cards. Your own face down cards may not be seen at the beginning either. First, you play with the visible cards. If a card is played, the underlying card is turned over. The queens and jacks as well as all cards of the diamond suit are permanent trumps. Otherwise the already described rules of the Wendish sheep head apply. With regard to the distribution of cards, the game situation (revealed cards) and the principle of the game, there is a strong similarity to the officer skat .
