Vera Vladimirovna Altayskaya
Vera Vladimirovna Altaiskaja ( Russian Вера Владимировна Алтайская ; born May 21, 1919 in Petrograd , Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic ; † December 28, 1978 in Moscow , Soviet Union ) was a Soviet actress .
Life
Altaiskaya was the daughter of the writer and translator Konstantin Nikolajewitsch Altaiski-Koroljow (1902–1978) and the pianist Vera Petrovna Tschaplygin (1902–1978). In 1926 the family moved to Kaluga and later to Moscow. Altaysky-Korolyov was sentenced to seven years in a camp in 1937.
Altaiskaja came to film as a young woman when she played the role of Anna played by Ingeborg Franke in 1936 in the Russian-language version of Fighters . In 1938 she made her debut in front of the camera in Великий счёт ( Veliky stschjot ) and graduated from the Mosfilm Drama School in 1940 . In the same year she gave her third role in Светлый путь ( Swetly put) . In 1943 Altaiskaja was seen in the Lermontov film biography The Duel as noblewoman Alexandra Kirillowna Voronzowa-Daschkowa, but without being named in the credits .
Altayskaya was used exclusively as a supporting actress . In the course of time she established herself as a character actress , but gained fame through her roles in several fairy tale films by Alexander Rous . Her filmography includes 58 works, including the animated film В стране ловушек ( W strane lowuschek , 1975), in which she was heard as a speaker.
From 1946 until her death, Altayskaya also worked for the Moscow State Theater of Film Actors .
She was the recipient of the medal “For heroic work in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945” .
Private
Vera Altaiskaja was married to the award-winning actor Alexei Konsowski (1912–1991), their daughter Svetlana Alexandrovna (1941–1994) was also active in the media industry.
She died at the age of 59 after a brief serious illness and was buried in the Wagankowoer cemetery .
