Verkhni Petriwzi ( Ukrainian Верхні Петрівці ; Russian Верхние Петровцы Werchnije Petrowzy , Romanian Pătrăuții de Sus , German (until 1918) Oberpetroutz ) is a village in the south of the Ukrainian Chernivtsi Oblast (2004) with about 3700 inhabitants.
The village is located on the banks of the 28 km long Siretel River ( Сіретел , Sereth River system ) opposite the village of Nyschni Petrivzi . Werchni Petriwzi is the only village of the same district municipality in Rajon Storozhynets 24 km south of Rajonzentrum Storozhynets and 40 km southwest of Oblasthauptstadt Chernivtsi .
Verkhny Petrivzi has a train station on the Hlyboka – Berehomet railway line . Territorial road T-26-24 runs through the village .
