Werner Bohne

Werner Bohne (born September 25, 1895 in Mühlgast , Rudna municipality , † April 9, 1940 in the Oslofjord ) was a German cameraman .

Life

Born in Silesia and the son of the landlord, he initially chose a career in the navy, from 1917 to 1918 he served as an ensign at sea . With film since 1921, Bohne learned his trade as an assistant and simple cameraman a. a. at the side of the Italian Giovanni Vitrotti . Under his patronage he got his first chance to work as co-chief cameraman in 1925.

In the 1930s, Bohne was promoted to the front row of cameramen in the German Reich.
