action

Willy Streblow is a sporty, young cyclist who would also like to take part in a big race one day. However, the prerequisite is that he has two spare bikes. But he can't buy this because he doesn't have the money. The father of his fiancé Hanni owns a bicycle shop, but Willy does not want to ask him for help. Suddenly two bikes are missing from the bike shop. His fiancée suspects Willy of stealing them and is considering separating from him. In retrospect, however, this suspicion turns out to be unfounded.

Willy receives the necessary replacement bikes from the manager Gottfried Paradies, who looks after the reigning but aging racing cyclist Banz. In return, he made Willy promise to let his protégé win the race.

In the course of the race, Willy falls behind Banz as requested, but when both are overtaken by the South American racing driver Rodriguez, who is now taking the lead. Banz then renounces the consultation with Willy and asks him to give everything on his part, without further consideration for him.

The story has a happy ending ; Willy wins the race and the reconciliation with his fiancée also succeeded.
