Flockina von Platen (born May 14, 1903 in Stolp , † November 26, 1984 in Berlin ) was a German actress .

Life

After graduating from high school, Flockina von Platen took acting lessons from Ilka Grüning and Lucie Höflich . In 1927 she made her debut as a theater actress at the Barnowsky Theaters in Berlin with the play Theo macht alles , where she also received her first engagement. This was followed by engagements at other Berlin theaters (tribune, Volksbühne) as well as several South America tours between 1927 and 1933.

As early as 1919, Flockina von Platen made her feature film debut in the crime film The Dagger of the Malay . Her actual film career, however, did not begin until twelve years later with Hans Steinhoff's racing driver crime film Die Panke . She starred alongside Heinz Rühmann in the comedy Strich durch dierechnung , alongside Lilian Harvey in Robert Siodmak's comedy Quick , in Douglas Sirk's romance Das Hofkonzert , in the historical film The Great King and in Hans Steinhoff's National Socialist propaganda film Ohm Krüger . In 1945 her film career of 26 years and 17 productions ended.

She was married to Eugen Klöpfer , the Vice President of the Reich Theater Chamber and a member of the Universum Film (UFA) board of directors.

Flockina von Platen died in November 1984 at the age of 81 in Berlin. Her grave is on the state's own cemetery in Heerstraße in Berlin-Westend (grave location: II-W9-313).
