The paw is a German - Italian thriller of director Hans Steinhoff from the year 1931st

action

An internationally wanted criminal and serial killer, who is called "Die Panke" in police circles, has struck again: A specialist engineer who has designed a new type of racing car for the Italian Alberti works is found slain, the construction plans that he carried with him were stolen.

Director Rappis, a functionary of the Alberti-Werke, took the wheel himself and drove the newly developed racing car to the finish at the same time as a competitor, racing driver Peter Krüger.

Shortly afterwards, director Rappis is also found dead. His opponent Krüger, who has fallen in love with Rappi's secretary Renate, then sets a trap for the murderer.

Production notes

Daniele Crespi was responsible for the film construction, Piero Cavazutti took care of the sound.

The paw premiered in Germany on November 10, 1931. The first performance in Sweden was on December 16, 1933.
