John Mylong , native Adolf Heinrich coin , in the United States John MyLong (born September 15, jul. / 27. September  1892 greg. In Mosty Konbystrchef, Ukraine , Russian Empire , † 8. September 1975 in Beverly Hills ) was a Russian-born , American actor and screenwriter who worked mainly in Germany until 1933 and was naturalized in 1948 .

Life

Adolf Heinrich Münz began his stage career in 1912 and participated in the First World War from 1915 to 1918. With the beginning of his artistic activity he called himself Jack Mylong coin. At first he wrote several short stories until he became a busy actor in German film from 1921.

Initially, Mylong-Münz also took on major roles, later he had to be content with smaller tasks. After the seizure of power by the Nazis in 1933, he returned to Austria after the annexation of Austria , he emigrated in September 1938 after Prague and in November of that year via England to the United States.

Resident in Hollywood since June 1941 , he acted as John Mylong in numerous anti-Nazi films during the Second World War . Mylong-Münz, who had become an American citizen in November 1948, returned to Germany in 1951 to film the film Das Haus in Montevideo , where he played a lawyer. When film offers became rarer, the actor shifted his activity to US television. In 1966 he ended his career in Hollywood.
