The Malaysian Jonke is a German detective film from 1924 in the Stuart Webbs film series . Ernst Reicher plays the title role .

This time the story takes us into the world of diplomacy and flower-making . Counterfeit banknotes are secretly slipped into the secretary of an embassy. While the man is then detained and thus temporarily withdrawn from circulation, a rascal succeeds in stealing a secret contract temporarily stored there from the diplomat's apartment.
Stuart Webbs is turned on and investigates the mysterious story. Soon he gets on the trail of a powerful espionage organization and exposes the diplomat's friend not only as a thief, but also as a spy who is paid for by foreign agents. At the last moment, the smart detective succeeds in retrieving the important secret papers.
Production notes
The Malaysian jonke passed film censorship on September 16, 1924 and was premiered in the Schauburg on October 24, 1924 . The six-act film was 2279 meters long and was banned from young people.
The film was shot in the Geiselgasteig studios. Max Heilbronner created the buildings.
