The Perfume of Mrs. Worrington is a German detective film from 1925 in the Stuart Webbs film series . Ernst Reicher plays the title role .
action
A banker who does obscure business has received a threatening letter asking Stuart Webbs for assistance. The man is murdered that same day, but not by the sender of the letter. Three people are suspected of having committed the act: the banker's wife, her sister's fiancé and the banker's wife's friend. The master detective follows all leads and finally comes across a dancer to whom the banker was related. Webbs can prove the act and with the secretary of the banker also arrest someone who knows.
Production notes
Mrs. Worrington's perfume was shot in the spring of 1925 in Geiselgasteig's studio near Munich. The film passed censorship on June 25, 1925 and was banned from youth. The first performance took place on July 10, 1925 in the Schauburg. In Austria you could see Mrs. Worrington's perfume from November 20, 1925. The six-act film was 1903 meters long.
Ludwig Reiber and Otto Völckers created the buildings.

In Paimann's film lists it can be read: “The subject is well worked out, the representation in most roles is good, the presentation corresponding to the photos with the exception of a few scenes passable. In addition, there is the undoubted attraction that the Stuart Webbs pictures exert on some audiences. "
