The Spook in the Professor's House , sometimes also referred to as Der Geisterspuk im Haus des Professors and Der Spuk , is a German detective film from 1914 in the Stuart Webbs film series .

The respected Professor Warming is as desperate as he is perplexed: his house is haunted! He therefore asks Stuart Webbs to help him get to the bottom of the strange ghostly apparitions. Webbs finds out that behind the noises coming from the house wall, there is a gang of gangsters. When he tries to track them down, he is initially overwhelmed and tied up. Of course, Stuart Webbs can soon free himself again and is now trying to put things down.

Because this gang is after secret military plans and tries to constantly break into the professor's office. In fact, these plans are stolen, retrieved by Webbs, and then stolen again. In order to finally arrest the crooks, Webbs installs cameras with electronic triggers and flashing devices in the professorial office, with which the tireless thieves are to be caught in the act.
