action

The board of trustees of a museum decided to lend a very valuable pearl necklace to a prima ballerina of the city opera in order to restore the faded pearls to their shine. Although extensive security measures were taken to protect the jewelery, the woman who wore it was found murdered soon afterwards and the pearl necklace had disappeared.

Stuart Webbs is turned on. The master detective quickly finds out that the museum director has a hand in it. Because he's broke and so fell into the hands of criminals. Of course, the smart Webbs can get hold of the necklace again and also act en passant as a postillon d'amour, in which he brings the museum director's daughter together with his friend, a doctor who had already saved Webbs' life.

The shot in the pavilion was shot in the Geiselgasteig studio near Munich in mid-1925 . The film passed the censorship on September 15, 1925 and was banned from youth. The first performance took place on September 18, 1925 in the Schauburg. In Austria you could see The Shot in the pavilion from September 10, 1926. The six-act film was around 2,100 meters long.
