The Curse of Evil Deed is a German detective film from 1925 in the Stuart Webbs film series . Ernst Reicher plays the title role .

action

Elmshöh Castle was broken into. Then the master detective Stuart Webbs is called to solve the crime. The gentleman sniff can quickly solve the case, but also comes across a much more significant offense. He finds out that today's lord of the castle, a countess, once suppressed the former lord's will out of love for her son Axel. In order to secure the inheritance only for her son, the countess tries to prevent his marriage to the true heiress, the daughter of the former owner. Webbs can thwart this plan and the two young people get married.

The curse of the evil deed , also known as The Secret at Elmshöh Castle , was censored on April 1, 1925 and was probably premiered a little later. The six-act film was 2045 meters long and was banned from young people.

For the later sound film star Adolf Wohlbrück , this was one of his first film roles. Max Heilbronner created the film structures.
