The wedding in the Excentric Club , occasionally also written together ( Excentric Club ), is a German crime film from 1917 from the Joe Deebs film series .

action

The wealthy Willyam van Hoop is President of the Excentric Club from which it is named. One day he fell in love with a young woman who soon became pregnant by him. Then one day the mother-to-be disappeared. All attempts to track down the young woman and her child were in vain.

After twenty years van Hoop dies without ever having seen his love and their children. In his will he bequeathed his considerable inheritance to his nephew - on one condition: he had to track down van Hoop's daughter within the next six months and then marry her in the premises of the Excentric Club.

Seemingly an impossible task, and so the master detective Joe Deebs comes into play. He goes on a search and has to be careful that he doesn't fall for a swindler who smells the coup in her life. At the last moment he can track down the missing young woman; now nothing stands in the way of the wedding - and Deebs receives a decent sum for his services.
