Werner Ernst von Lettow (born June 21, 1738 , † April 19, 1789 in Klein Schwirsen , Rummelsburger Kreis ) was a Prussian manor owner, district administrator and war and domain councilor .

He came from the Pomeranian noble family von Lettow . His father Peter Ernst von Lettow (* 1700, † 1757) was a major in an infantry regiment and heir to Wocknin (he acquired the shares in Wocknin a and b in 1746) and Gadgen in the Rummelsburger Kreis . His mother Agnes Clara (* 1708, † 1779) was also born von Lettow.

Werner Ernst von Lettow joined the Prussian Army in 1752 , where he was promoted to captain ("Capitain") in an infantry regiment. In 1765 he bought Wocknin a and b from his mother. In 1770 he was still able to acquire Wocknin c and thus united all of Wocknin in his hand.

When neighboring West Prussia came to Prussia with the First Partition of Poland in 1772 , he was appointed the first district administrator of the district of Conitz in the same year . But as early as 1774 he moved to the West Prussian War and Domain Chamber in Marienwerder as a war and domain councilor ; Carl Christoph Ludwig von Weiher followed him as district administrator .

In 1783 he took his leave and withdrew to his estates in Pomerania. In addition to Wocknin , he owned Gadgen , Bial (acquired in 1785) and Klein Schwirsen (acquired in 1782/1784), where he died in 1789.

Werner Ernst von Lettow was first married to Rahel Friederica (* 1740, † 1773), a born von Below . After her death, he married Elisabeth Louise (* 1730; † 1807), born von Gaudy . He left a son, Johann Peter Jacob von Lettow (* 1768).
