Werner Hösl (born March 28, 1947 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Hösl, he came from the KSC youth to the amateur team, with which he reached the runner- up in the 1966/67 season in the 1st Amateur League North Baden under coach Bernhard Termath at the side of players like Herbert Layh , David Scheu and Heinz Schrodt had, was taken over in the Bundesliga squad of Karlsruher SC for the 1967/68 season . The eleven from the Wildparkstadion went into the round with coach Paul Frantz , replaced the man from Strasbourg with Georg Gawliczek from October 25, 1967, and ended the round from February 10, 1968 with the former amateur coach Termath. When the KSC already had no chance to avert relegation, ex-international Termath used the talent from their own ranks in the last ten games of the season. Hösl, a midfielder with a strong left foot and defensive skills, made his debut on matchday 25, March 9, 1968, in a 5-1 home win against Borussia Neunkirchen in the Bundesliga. With KSC, he said goodbye to the Bundesliga on May 25 with his tenth BL appearance in a 1-1 draw at Betzenberg against 1. FC Kaiserslautern in 18th place.

In the following season he ran for the KSC in the Football Regionalliga Süd in 14 league games and won the championship of the season 1968/69 under the new coach Kurt Baluses . In the promotion round, Hösl was on the pitch four times, but failed because of Rot-Weiss Essen and VfL Osnabrück . Hösl moved to the 1969/70 round to promoted to the regional soccer league Southwest , the ASV Landau , where ex-KSC Oberliga South player Heinz Ruppenstein worked as a coach. Hösl made his debut on August 10, 1969, the first game day, with a 2-1 home win against Borussia Neunkirchen in the Regionalliga Südwest. At the end of the round he had played 30 league games and scored two goals; the climber was in seventh place.

Up until the last season of the old second-rate regional league, 1973/74 , Werner Hösl was a top performer at ASV Landau. He played 141 regional league games in Landau from 1969 to 1974 and scored ten goals. With Peter Wallenwein , Hans Ripp , Gottfried Hertweck , David Scheu and Horst Wild , other former players of the Karlsruher SC were on the ball in Landau. With 9th place in the 1973/74 season, Hösl and colleagues did not make the nomination for the 1974 season / 75 newly introduced 2nd Bundesliga and ASV entered the Southwest Amateur League . With Libero Hösl, the association selection Southwest won the regional cup in Meppen against North Baden in 1975 .

In later years, Hösl worked as a player coach and coach in the amateur field, including at SV Kuppenheim and Phönix Durmersheim.
