history

The name Dörfling comes from dorfelin, which means small village. Dörfling does not belong in the group of ing places . Dörfling was first mentioned in writing in 1365 as an accessory to Lichtenwald. In 1509 Lienhard Wagner bought the Huncswiese in addition to the Dörfling estate, and Michael Zenger zu Lichtenwald was the sealer of the purchase agreement. In 1582 two properties were listed in Dörfling and in 1610 two Sölden . In 1694 only one farm was mentioned, which was probably created by merging the two properties.

As of March 23, 1913 (Easter), Dörfling belonged to the Altenthann parish with one house and 9 residents. On December 31, 1990, Dörfling had 2 Catholic residents and belonged to the Altenthann parish.
