history

A Ruedger von Hautzndorf is named between 1146 and 1160 in the traditions of the St. Paul Monastery as a buyer of a Haeselinesgruebe (= Höslgrub) property . The Hauzendorfer owned what is now the Hofmark until the second half of the 15th century . Then the Wallrab Hauzendorf take over . After the Hauzendorfer line of Wallrab died out, there was a frequent change of ownership on Hauzendorf. Hauzendorf Castle burned down with its barn and stables in 1772, and reconstruction followed in 1784. Today's Hauzendorf Castle is a two-storey four-wing complex with hipped roofs, onion roof turrets and a chapel on the ground floor (with Romanesque apse) from the 18th century.

In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria, the municipal edict of 1818 created today's municipalities, including Bernhardswald and Hauzendorf. In 1840 there was still a second class patrimonial court in Hauzendorf , which was not administered by a court lord , but by the Regenstauf regional court. The last remnants of the aristocracy were abolished in the revolution of 1848 . On October 1, 1926, the community of Lambertsneukirchen was largely incorporated into Hackenberg , but some districts also came to Hauzendorf. On January 1, 1972, Hauzendorf was incorporated into the Bernhardswald community with the villages of Erlbach, Grubberg, Lohhof, Niederhof, Stadlhof, Stockhof, Weiherhäusl and Wolferszwing. The Schlossgut Hauzendorf is now an organic farm .
