Pettenreuth is a district of the municipality Bernhard Forest in Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg in Bavaria .
Geographical location
The parish village of Pettenreuth is located in the Regensburg region about two kilometers south of Bernhardswald.
history
Pettenreuth is first mentioned in a document in 1285. The Gothic church was redesigned in Baroque style by Georg Weigenthaller in 1738. In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria, the municipal edict of 1818 created today's municipalities, including Bernhardswald and Pettenreuth. The municipality of Pettenreuth with the places Apprant, Buchhof, Dinglstadt, Eberhof, Feldhof, Gerstenhof, Hacklsberg, Höslgrub, Lamlhof, Mauth, Parleithen, Vorderappendorf and Wolfersdorf was incorporated into Bernhardswald on January 1st, 1974.
