Werner Masseck

Werner Masseck (born June 8, 1914 in Bernsdorf (Oberlausitz) , † August 27, 1962 ) was a German politician ( NDPD ). From 1958 to 1962 he was a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR .

Life

Masseck, son of a master plumber, attended elementary and middle school in Bernsdorf and the upper secondary school in Kamenz . From 1930 to 1933 he received a commercial training and worked in the profession until 1936. He joined the NSDAP in 1933 . He initially did military service in the Wehrmacht , then military service in World War II and was taken prisoner of war.

On his return, he completed an apprenticeship as a plumber from 1946 to 1948 and worked as a plumber in Bernsdorf. In 1951 he became a member of the National Democratic Party of Germany (NDPD) and was a member of the NDPD district committee in Hoyerswerda from 1953 to 1957 . In 1955 he passed the master plumber and plumber exam and became an independent master craftsman. From 1956 he was a member of the Hoyerswerda district council and chairman of the permanent commission for local economics. In 1958 he became a co-founder and chairman of the production cooperative for the craft trade "Expansion" in Hoyerswerda and a member of the NDPD district committee in Cottbus .

He represented the NDPD as a member of the People's Chamber in the 3rd electoral term.
