Werner Rinass

Werner Rinass , also Rinas and Rinaß (born January 13, 1939 in Walsum ) is a former German football player . He played a total of 39 games in the Bundesliga in 1963 and 1966 , scoring four goals.

career

Oberliga West, 1959 to 1963

The 20-year-old Werner Rinass began his playing career in the youth of the Spfr. Vierlinden. In the 1958/59 season he played with the Spfr. Walsum. For the round in 1959/60 he moved from the Spfr. Walsum from the Lower Rhine amateur football to the promoted in the Oberliga West , Hamborn 07 . On matchday 10, November 8, 1959, the young player made his debut in a 2-0 home win against SC Viktoria Köln as a half-left in the Hamborn 07 league team. In his second season, 1960/61, he came with 26 games and 12 Goals - Rinass was the top scorer of the sports fans - on his best record. With his teammates Horst Podlasly , Rolf Schafstall and Johann Sabath , he finished seventh in the table in this round. On the last day of the league era, on May 11, 1963, he played his last game for Hamborn in the 4-0 defeat at 1. FC Köln . From 1959 to 1963 he had played 88 games with 22 goals in the Oberliga West.

Bundesliga and regional league, 1963 to 1970

For the 1963/64 round, Rinass signed a contract with 1. FC Saarbrücken , which had been nominated as a Southwest representative together with 1. FC Kaiserslautern for the new Bundesliga. On the first day of the league, August 24, 1963, the ex-Hamborner was in the starting line-up of the Saarlanders at the home game against 1. FC Cologne. The Cologne team won the game 2-0 and celebrated the first Bundesliga championship at the end of the round. Coach Helmut Schneider could not keep 1. FC Saarbrücken in the class, the Saarlanders were relegated as 16th in 1964. Rinass had played 26 games with four goals.

In his second season in Saarbrücken, 1964/65 , he was involved with 31 games and 18 goals in winning the championship in the Regionalliga Südwest . In the promotion round to the Bundesliga, Saarbrücken failed at Bayern Munich . Rinass received an offer from Eintracht Braunschweig and thus returned to the Bundesliga.

In the first year in Braunschweig, 1965/66, coach Helmuth Johannsen nominated the excellent technician in the half- forward position in 13 games. Eintracht took tenth place. When in 1966/67 the Braunschweiger were able to win the German championship title completely surprisingly , Johannsen pulled through this round with twelve regular players and Rinass did not make any further Bundesliga appearance.

From 1967 to 1969 Rinass then played with 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 in the Regionalliga Süd . Schweinfurt and trainer Jenő Vincze were in the top of the table - 1968: 5th; 1969: 6th - but promotion to the Bundesliga could not be realized. Rinass played 42 games with five goals and moved to the West in the summer of 1969 to the regional league promoted DJK Gütersloh . Under coach Günter Luttrop , the newcomer was 10th in the table in the 1969/70 season and Rinass had played seven games for the DJK. His last appearance in the regional league dates from November 30, 1969, when he was in action in the 4-1 defeat at his old club Hamborn 07. In the summer of 1970, the 31-year-old Werner Rinas returned to the amateur camp. He still played for Sportfreunde Walsum 09 and STV Hünxe.
