Werner Black Forest
Werner Schwarzwälder (born August 2, 1944 in Bad Reichenhall , † December 8, 2011 in Reichenau ) was a German journalist .
Education and career path
After completing school at the Zinzendorf high school in Königsfeld and the higher commercial school in Villingen , an apprenticeship as a forwarding agent took place in Villingen. This was followed by four years as a temporary soldier in the Bundeswehr with officer training. Lieutenant was his last active rank. In the course of military exercises in the following years, Werner Schwarzwälder made it to major in the reserve. He began his journalistic career as a trainee at Südkurier , after which he became an editor for politics and supplements. He was then head of the local editorial office in Villingen-Schwenningen, and later in Konstanz. In 1990 he became head of service and from 1994 to 2005 editor-in-chief . In 2002 he carried out a layout reform for his newspaper together with the American newspaper designer Mario Garcia . After his time as editor-in-chief, he was responsible for various special projects, including as the editor in charge of the magazine "LebensArt".
Other tasks
Werner Schwarzwälder was a member of the jury for the Theodor Wolff Prize for Outstanding Journalism and a jury member for the Diakonie Prize for Journalists in Baden-Württemberg. He was also a member of the Lilienbergrat of the Lilienberg Entrepreneur Forum in Ermatingen.
