Werner Vehling

Werner Vehling (born August 28, 1941 in Hespe ) is a German local politician of the SPD . From 1974 to 2017 he was mayor of the municipality of Hespe and from 1986 to 1998 honorary district administrator of the district of Schaumburg .

Life

Vehling learned the masonry trade, attended support courses in Bückeburg and from 1961 studied six semesters at the state engineering school in Nienburg . After completing his training, he first worked at the civil engineering office, then at the office for environmental protection and water management in the Minden-Lübbecke district .

Vehling joined the SPD and was active in local politics. From 1974 he was mayor and honorary community director of the community of Hespe and from 1974 to 1976 a member of the interim council of the newly formed joint community of Nienstädt . From 1976 to 2016 he was a member of the Schaumburg district council. In November 1986 he was elected as the successor to Heiner Schoof for the first time as honorary district administrator of the Schaumburg district. He held the office until 1998; Subsequently, he was the district's first deputy district administrator until 2006.
