useful information
The Hermannsweg leads over the Westerbeck mountain , on which you can hike in several day stages over the ridge of the Teutoburg Forest from Rheine to Velmerstot in der Egge .
Quarries on the mountain flanks are reminiscent of the lively limestone mining. There was a cable car to the hill , which can be seen in the north-northeast. There, lime was transported to Georgsmarienhütte with the Hüggelbahn and used as aggregate lime .
