exhibition

Around 1,000 m² of exhibition space is dedicated to the natural and cultural history of the horse in Westphalia and other topics relating to horses. For example, visitors can try out what it is like to sit on a gallop or jumping saddle at interactive saddle stations. Films and animations should make the interaction between horse and rider and thus the art of riding understandable.

Every year from around mid / late November to late March / early April, the Horse Museum is the first museum in Germany to show the "Wildlife Photographer of the Year" exhibition at the National History Museum London.

Hippomaxx

The Arena Hippomaxx is part of the museum. Horse shows and other events take place here regularly. Various horse breeds such as Dülmen wild horses , Icelandic horses and Mongolian ponies are housed in the children's and horse park .
