The White Craig is a hill in the Pentland Hills . The 434 m high elevation lies in the center in the southern part of the approximately 25 km long range of hills in the Scottish Council Area South Lanarkshire .
The closest town is Tarbrax, around five kilometers to the northwest . West Linton is six kilometers east of the eastern flank of the Pentland Hills. The surrounding hills include Henshaw Hill in the north-west, Mealowther in the north, Millstone Rig in the north-east, Catstone Hill in the south-east as well as the Kredites Rig in the south-west.
Surroundings
Several streams arise on the northwest flank of White Craig and join to form Medwin Water , which runs along the north flank. First it marks the border between West Lothian and South Lanarkshire, then between South Lanarkshire and the Scottish Borders before expanding into South Medwin .
