history
The Verenahof was an exclave not only of the community Wiechs am Randen, but also of the German national territory. In 1806 the farm became Baden. Swiss attempts to relocate the Verenahof and to redraw the border here failed in 1815 and 1839. In a treaty signed by Germany and Switzerland in 1964 , the 43 hectare area of the Verenahof was transferred to Switzerland as part of an area exchange. This treaty entered into force on October 4, 1967. In remembrance of this area there are some boundary stones that were no longer needed due to the exchange of areas in Wiechs near the town hall .
The formerly independent municipality was incorporated into Tengen on January 1, 1975.
