Uttenhofen is a district of Tengen in the district of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg . It has 147 inhabitants (August 31, 2014).

Location and transport links

Uttenhofen is located in the southwest of the Hegaualb (max.  863.9  m above sea  level ), northeast of the Randen mountain range (max.  930.2  m ) and about 2.5 km southwest of the core town of Tengen. The beaver tributary Körbeltalbach (Körbelbach) flows through the village, which is about 610  m above sea level, and is also called Biber in the Blumberg district of Nordhalben ( Schwarzwald-Baar district ) and in Uttenhofen also called Lauterbach . The border with Switzerland runs about 1.5 km to the south-east and south-west; south of the village is a corner of Baden-Württemberg with the Tengen district of Wiechs , which is surrounded by Swiss territory in the east, south and west.

A few kilometers north of the village, the federal road 314 runs through Tengen and Kommingen , from which the district road  5748 branches off in Kommingen . The latter passes over at the border of the Schwarzwald-Baar district to the district of Konstanz in the K 6132 leading through Uttenhofen and on to Tengen, from which the K 6136, which joins the K 6137 (Tengen-Wiechs) branches off in the village.

The formerly independent municipality was incorporated into Tengen on January 1, 1971.
