Lullaby is a short film - drama by the German filmmaker Selcuk Cara and the cameraman Nils A. Witt in cooperation with the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences from 2012 .

The short film premiered in 2012 under its international title Lullaby in the Student Etudes Panorama section of the Plus Camerimage film festival in Bydgoszcz , Poland . In 2014 the film entered the official selection of the Delhi International Film Festival in New Delhi , India . In 2015 the film was shown at the Franco-German short film festival Les Petits Claps in Metz , France .

The film tells the story of a broken relationship between mother and daughter, which could not live up to the demands of the mother - once a celebrated concert pianist. After years of division, Rachel, accompanied by her eleven-year-old daughter Milena, visits her mother, who lives alone with her housekeeper in a magnificent villa. When the joy of seeing each other threatens to tip over, the imaginative granddaughter finally understands how to reunite the two.
