Dagmar von Kurmin
Dagmar von Kurmin (born August 13, 1933 in Riga , Latvia ; † August 1, 2020 in Bonn ) was a German actress and director . She is also known as a speaker for radio plays and as a reciter .
Life
Dagmar von Kurmin came to Germany as a child. She completed her acting training in Hamburg from 1953 to 1955 and had her first engagement with Gustaf Gründgens at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg in 1956 in the play manor house . Other stations in her long and ongoing stage career have included Bamberg , Koblenz , Baden-Baden , Bad Godesberg and Recklinghausen as part of the Ruhr Festival .
From 1960 to 1962 she worked as a television announcer, from 1963 the first television roles followed, although she was rarely seen in leading roles on the screen. Her acting passion has always been stage work.
Dagmar von Kurmin also made a name for herself as a speaker and director of radio plays, among others with the labels of BASF and Deutsche Grammophon . As the successor to Konrad Halver , she worked from 1972 to 1973 as in-house director for the now legendary radio play label Europa ; In the short time there, almost twenty radio plays for young people were created under her direction, including the famous Karl May episodes and Moby Dick . As a reciter, von Kurmin, who is also fluent in English, French, Russian and Latvian, moved around with a ballad program.
