Wikrowo ( German Wickerau ) is a village in the rural community Gronowo Elbląskie ( Grunau ) in the powiat Elbląski ( Elbing ) of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in northern Poland . The place has about eighty inhabitants.
Geographical location
It is located about seven kilometers north of Gronowo Elbląskie , nine kilometers northwest of Elbląg and 88 kilometers northwest of the voivodeship capital Olsztyn ( Allenstein ).
history
Before 1945 Wickerau belonged to East Prussia , then the place came to Poland and got the Polish form of name Wikrowo . In the years 1975-1998 the place was administratively part of the Elbląg Voivodeship . The Güntner company built a 660 m² warehouse for Greengrow carrots here.
