Viktor Michailowitsch Simin (born August 23, 1962 in Krasnoturansk Raion , Krasnoyarsk Region , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian politician ( United Russia ) and currently chairman of the government of the Republic of Khakassia and a member of the State Duma .

Education and employment

The son of a Russian and an ethnic German attended school in the village of Katanowo ( Askis Rajon , Khakassia ). In 1982 he completed an apprenticeship at an agricultural college and then did his military service in the Soviet Army .

Later Simin worked for the Krasnoyarsk branch of the Soviet Railway and after the collapse of the Soviet Union the Krasnoyarsk Railway .

Political activity

In the parliamentary elections on December 2, 2007 , Simin was elected to the State Duma via the list of the United Russia party.

On December 8, 2008, he was nominated by President Dmitry Medvedev as President of the Government (ie President) of the Republic of Khakassia. The Supreme Council of the Republic of Khakassia approved the nomination on December 10, 2008.

Viktor Simin is the chairman of the Khakass section of the United Russia party.
