Viktoria Klotschko

Wiktorija Oleksandriwna Klotschko ( Ukrainian Вікторія Олександрівна Клочко , from the IAAF as Viktoriya Klochko ; born September 2, 1992 ) is a Ukrainian athlete who specializes in the shot put and discus throwing.

Career

She took part in the European Athletics Junior Championships 2011 in Tallinn and started there in the discus throw . With a width of 54.03 meters she took third place behind the two Germans Shanice Craft and Anna Rüh . At the Ukrainian Athletics Championships 2011, which was held in Donetsk , she started in the discus throw and secured the silver medal behind Natalija Semenova on her second participation . After missing a medal in 2012, she won her second silver medal in the discus throw on July 24, 2014 and again behind Natalija Semenova. In both 2014 and 2015 she won the silver medal at the Ukrainian championship in discus throwing. In addition, on July 4, 2015, she set a new personal best in the discus throw. At the competition in Uman she threw the discus at 58.01 meters and won the competition.

In 2016 she started in the Ukrainian Athletics Championships for the first time in discus throw and shot put . While she missed a medal in the shot put in fifth, she won the bronze medal in the discus throw. In 2017 she competed again in both disciplines. On July 5, 2017, she hit the ball to 16.07 meters, securing her first Ukrainian championship title in the shot put. With this success she won a whole set of medals at the Ukrainian championships. Three days later she secured the silver medal behind Natalija Semenova with a width of 55.04 meters .

On June 22, 2018, she started the International Match in Minsk and hit a distance of 16.65 meters. This distance meant not only fourth place in this competition, but also a new personal best. On July 18 and 21, 2018, she started at the Ukrainian Championships in Lutsk in the shot put and discus throw . In the shot put she only reached a distance of 16.07 meters, thus missing out on defending her title and had to be satisfied with second place behind Olha Holodna ( Ольга Анатоліївна Голодна ). She also had to be content with second place in the discus throw, even though she was the best Ukrainian of the year. In the shot put, she was able to qualify for the European Athletics Championships 2018 in Berlin thanks to her achievements together with Olha Holodna . On August 7, 2018, she clearly missed the shot put qualification for the final with 16.27 meters.
