Wiktorija Wiktoriwna Tkachuk ( Ukrainian Вікто́рія Ві́кторівна Ткачу́к , English transcription Viktoriya Tkachuk; born November 8, 1994 in Plishchyn ) is a Ukrainian athlete who specializes in the 400-meter run and the 400-meter hurdles .

Athletic career

For the first time at an international championship, Viktorija Tkachuk entered the Junior World Championships in Barcelona in 2012. There she reached the semifinals over 400 meters and took fourth place with the Ukrainian 4 x 400 meter relay. At the Junior European Championships 2013 in Rieti , she was eliminated in the preliminary round. From then on she concentrated more on the hurdles. In 2015 she finished fifth at the U23 European Championships in Tallinn with the Ukrainian 4 x 400 meter relay and made it through the hurdles to the semi-finals. She also qualified for the World Championships in Beijing , but was eliminated there in the preliminary round . In 2016 she reached the semi-finals of the European Championships in Amsterdam and also qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she made it to the semi-finals . Also in 2017 she qualified for the World Championships in London , but this time dropped out again in the preliminary round .
