Wild Side (alternative title: Wild Side - double game ; original title: Wild Side ) is an American thriller by Donald Cammell from 1995 .

action

Alex Lee is an employee of a bank in San Francisco . She has to pay off a large mortgage loan. Her boss urges her to accompany one of her customers in their spare time, even though it is clear that the customer wants to have sex. Lee then works part-time as a prostitute, she is known to her clients as Johanna . As a substitute for a colleague, she visits the entrepreneur Bruno Buckingham, with whom she then meets regularly. She meets his wife Virginia Chow, with whom she starts a lesbian affair.

Buckingham's driver, Tony, turns out to be an undercover FBI agent. He demands that Lee help him with the investigation and threatens her to prosecute her for prostitution.

Buckingham demands that Lee help him cover up a financial transaction. Lee exposes Tony. Buckingham flees; he wants to take Lee and his wife with him, but the women escape him. Alex and Virginia go to Mexico together .

Reviews

The Rotten Tomatoes editorial team wrote that the film was a “ highly stylized modern film noir ”. Christopher Walken plays his “ bizarre ” role with “ bravura ”; the representations of Anne Heche and Joan Chen are " excellent ".

The magazine TV direkt 4/2007 described the film as “the usual meat inspection ”.
