Wildberg (Schönewalde)

Wildberg was a short-lived community that existed from 1998 to 2001 in what was then the office of Schönewalde ( Elbe-Elster district , Brandenburg ). It was an amalgamation of the three originally independent communities Wiepersdorf , Wildenau and Knippelsdorf . In 2001 it merged with three other communities to form the town of Schönewalde and was dissolved. At the end of 2000 it had 762 inhabitants.

Geographical location

The community Wildberg bordered in the north on the community Niederer Fläming (district Rinow ), the communities Mehlsdorf and Bollensdorf (both Amt Dahme / Mark ), in the south on the communities Körba , Freileben and Werchau (all Amt Schlieben ), in the southwest and west the municipality of Themesgrund and the city of Schönewalde (both office Schönewalde).

In 1992 the communities of Wiepersdorf, Wildenau and Knippelsdorf merged with eight other communities to form the office of Schönewalde . On December 31, 1998, the communities Wiepersdorf, Wildenau and Knippelsdorf formed the new community Wildberg within the office of Schönewalde. On December 31, 2001, the communities of Heideeck, Themesgrund, Wildberg and the city of Schönewalde merged to form the new city of Schönewalde. The office Schönewalde was also dissolved on December 31, 2001, the city of Schönewald vacant. The community Wildberg was dissolved again, the three participating communities are now districts of the city of Schönewalde.
