history
Rinow, a street village , was first mentioned in 1452. The place name, which was written when Rynow was first mentioned , is probably a Germanic formation of a word for "flow" or "stream". In 1457 the place Riene was sold together with the little country Bärwalde to the aristocratic Leipziger family . Until 1666 this had sole control over the rule Bärwalde and the village Rinow, after which the rule was divided between the von Leipzig and the von Stutterheim . In 1841 Rienow had 125 inhabitants and was parish in Meinsdorf.
With the beginning of the establishment of district administrations in the Mark Brandenburg , Rinow belonged to the Zauchescher Kreis and, together with the other places in the little country Bärwalde, formed an exclave within the Luckenwalde district , which at that time still belonged to the Duchy of Magdeburg . Only after the Congress of Vienna did the Rinow community come to the Jüterbog-Luckenwalde district . After the GDR district reform in July 1952, Rinow was in the Jüterbog district in the Potsdam district . On January 11, 1962 Rinow and the community were whites to Meindorf incorporated. Since the turnaround and the Brandenburg district reform in 1993, Rinow has belonged to the Teltow-Fläming district . On December 31, 1997 Meinsdorf was united with 13 other communities to Niederer Fläming , since then Rinow has been part of the new community.
