Hohenseefeld is a part of the municipality of Niederer Fläming in the Teltow-Fläming district in Brandenburg . Until August 1, 2002, Hohenseefeld was an independent municipality.

geography

Hohenseefeld is located about ten kilometers west of Dahme in the Mark in the Baruther glacial valley and on the northern edge of the Niedere Fläming , as well as on the federal highway 102 , which connects Jüterbog with Dahme in the northwest-southeast direction and continues to Luckau .

Of the surrounding villages, the Dahmer district of Niebendorf-Heinsdorf in the north, Ihlow in the southeast and Illmersdorf in the east, which belongs to the municipality of Ihlow, belong to other communities . Neighboring districts of the municipality Niederer Fläming are Herbersdorf and Wiepersdorf in the south, Nonnendorf in the west and Waltersdorf in the northwest.

Location

The village of Hohenseefeld consists of two street villages, each with its own village church, the village streets of which run in north-south direction: The actual Hohenseefeld is east of the Ihlower Graben , the strongest inlet of the Schweinitzer River . His village street is called Hauptstraße and is part of the road from Heinsdorf to Herbersdorf . To the west of the trench, the Niederseefeld part of the village extends along Niederseefelder Straße .

history

The location of Hohenseefeld was already settled in the 12th century and was first mentioned in a document in 1368. In 1388 Hohenseefeld and the Wentdorf desert were part of the city of Dahme. In 1459 Hohenseefeld was mentioned in the diocese article of the Mark Brandenburg . The neighboring village of Niederseefeld was burned down by French troops in 1813. After the Congress of Vienna , Hohenseefeld came to the Kingdom of Prussia in 1815 , where the village was in the Luckenwalde district . On July 1, 1950, Niederseefeld was merged with Hohenseefeld. In 1950 Hohenseefeld was the stop of the Jüterbog-Luckenwalder Kreiskleinbahnen , which connected Dahme with Jüterbog and via a branch in the village with Luckenwalde .

Hohenseefeld and Niederseefeld each have a village church , which were built as field stone buildings in the Gothic style. Both are registered as architectural monuments in the state monument list of the state of Brandenburg . The parish of Hohenseefeld is located in the parish of Jüterbog , which belongs to the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia .

On July 25, 1952, the community was assigned to the newly formed Jüterbog district in the Potsdam district . After the reunification , Hohenseefeld was in the Jüterbog district in Brandenburg . After the district reform in Brandenburg on December 6, 1993 , Hohenseefeld was finally assigned to the newly formed Teltow-Fläming district . On August 1, 2002, Hohenseefeld was incorporated into the Niederer Fläming community. The municipality of Niederer Fläming has been part of the Dahme / Mark district since January 1, 2018 .

Hohenseefeld village church

The village church Hohenseefeld is a stone church from the 13th century. In addition to a pulpit altar from the 19th century, there is a fifth from the 17th century in the building .
