Schlenzer is a part of the municipality of Niederer Fläming in the Teltow-Fläming district in Brandenburg . The place belongs to the Amt Dahme / Mark and was an independent municipality until December 31, 1997.

location

Schlenzer is located in the Lower Fläming about twelve kilometers east of Jüterbog . Surrounding villages are the district of Charlottenfelde in the northeast, which belongs to the city of Baruth , the Dahmer districts Wahlsdorf in the east and Niebendorf-Heinsdorf in the southeast, Sernow in the south, Riesdorf in the southwest, the Jüterboger district Fröhden in the west and Markendorf in the northwest. North of the village which lies nature reserve Heidehof Golmberg with the former military training area of the Red Army .

State road 715 runs through Schlenzer to Zellendorf . To the north runs the federal road 115 which connects the place with Jüterbog and Lübben .

history

Schlenzer first appeared in a document as Schlentziger in 1204 and was then in the possession of Magdeburg's Archbishop Wichmann von Seeburg . In 1642 the village burned down and fell desolate . In 1801 there was a smithy, a village inn and a branch of the Luckenwalder customs office in Schlenzer . In 1891 Schlenzer was named as a parish village with a brick factory .

Schlenzer owned a windmill until 1965 , which was then stopped. Below the Mühlenberg there was a spring from which the farmers supplied themselves with water.

The village church in Schlenzer was built in the 13th century as a late Gothic field stone building. It has a west tower with a tent roof and two bells. The rectory was built in 1823. This is a plastered building with a so-called crooked hip roof . The Schlenzer parish belongs to the Luckenwalde parish and the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia .

After the Congress of Vienna , Schlenzer came to the Kingdom of Prussia in 1815 , where the village was in the Luckenwalde district . On July 25, 1952, the community was assigned to the newly formed Jüterbog district in the Potsdam district . After the reunification , the village was in the Jüterbog district in Brandenburg . After the district reform in Brandenburg on December 6, 1993 , Schlenzer was finally assigned to the newly formed Teltow-Fläming district . On December 31, 1997, Schlenzer was merged with the communities of Borsigdorf, Graefendorf, Hohenahlsdorf, Hohengörsdorf , Meinsdorf , Nonnendorf , Reinsdorf, Riesdorf , Sernow , Waltersdorf , Welsickendorf , Werbig and Wiepersdorf to form the new community of Niederer Fläming . Schlenzer has been part of the Dahme / Mark office since January 1, 2018 .
