history
The Rundlingsdorf Weißen was first mentioned with certainty as weyssen in 1472 . The place name probably comes from the Old Sorbian and describes a high place. The area on which white lies frequently changed its territorial affiliation during the Middle Ages. Until 1367 it belonged to the Mark Brandenburg , then until 1411 to the Kingdom of Bohemia and then until 1451 to the Duchy of Glogau . Then the area came back to the Mark Brandenburg.
From 1735 whites belonged with his Vorwerk Marienhof to rule Bärwalde-Wiepersdorf . Thus, the white people, together with the other places of rule, formed an exclave of the Duchy of Magdeburg within the Kingdom of Prussia . It was not until the Congress of Vienna that Weißen came to Prussia, where the place belonged to the province of Brandenburg and in the Jüterbog-Luckenwalde district . In 1841 white people had 140 inhabitants and was parish in the parish of Meinsdorf.
The Jüterbog-Luckenwalde district was renamed the Luckenwalde district in 1946 and dissolved during the GDR district reform in 1952. After that, Weissen belonged to the Jüterbog district in the Potsdam district . On January 11, 1962, the white people were incorporated into Meinsdorf. Since the fall of the Wall and the Brandenburg district reform in December 1993, Weißen has belonged to the Teltow-Fläming district . The municipality of Meinsdorf was merged on December 31, 1997 with 13 other municipalities to form the new municipality of Niederer Fläming .
