To the north, the area is bounded by the Mehlsdorfer Graben . Bollensdorf is on Landesstrasse 71.

history

Bollensdorf was first mentioned in 1368 as Boldenstede and then in 1376 in a document from the Saxon Duke Wenzel as Boldewinstorff . The place name means "village of Boldewin". With its current spelling, the place name appeared for the first time in 1579. The village was originally part of the historical office of Dahme and as such became part of the Electorate of Saxony after the Peace of Prague in 1635 .

From 1657 to 1768 Bollensdorf belonged to the Principality of Saxony-Weißenfels . During this time, the place experienced an economic boom after the settlement of a manor , a sheep farm and a brick factory . After the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the Kingdom of Saxony had to cede the area to which Bollensdorf belonged to the Kingdom of Prussia . In this the place was in the district of Jüterbog-Luckenwalde in the administrative district of Potsdam in the province of Brandenburg . In 1841 Bollensdorf had 165 inhabitants and, as there was no church at that time, it was parish in Dahme. Seven years later, Bollensdorf was destroyed in a village fire and was then rebuilt. The Dreiseithöfe , which still characterize the town today, date from this time .

In 1945 the Bollensdorf manor burned down. After the end of the Second World War , the place belonged to the Soviet occupation zone and was in the GDR from October 1949 . On October 5, 1950, the neighboring town of Karlsdorf was incorporated into Bollensdorf. During the GDR district reform on July 25, 1952, the Jüterbog-Luckenwalde district was dissolved and the Bollensdorf community was incorporated into the Luckau district in the Cottbus district. On February 17, 1968, the district of Karlsdorf moved to the municipality of Mehlsdorf . After the fall of the Berlin Wall , the Luckau district was renamed the Luckau district and finally dissolved, the Bollensdorf community was incorporated into the Teltow-Fläming district during the district reform in December 1993 . On December 31, 2001, Bollensdorf was incorporated into Ihlow .

Attractions

After the residents of Bollensdorf had spoken out in favor of leaving the parish of Dahme, construction of the Bollensdorf village church began in 1946 on the site of the former manor house . In 1952 the church was completed. The village church Bollensdorf is a small half-timbered building without a tower.
