Wilfried Bergerhoff

Wilfried Bergerhoff (born July 30, 1936 in Gummersbach ; † May 28, 2009 in Wiehl ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and from 1995 to 2000 a member of the state parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life and work

After obtaining the secondary school leaving certificate in 1954, he completed his training as a gardener from April 1, 1954 to March 30, 1956. From April 1, 1956, Bergerhoff worked as a gardener's assistant until he became a master gardener on February 9, 1966. After his father's death, he started his own business in his parents' business on October 1, 1968. Bergerhoff was Vice President of the German Dahlia, Fuchsia and Gladiolus Society , Bonn now Geldern (DDFGG). He received numerous honors and awards for his dahlia breeding. His biggest success was the award of State Honor Award in Gold of the Federal Ministry of Consumer Protection, Food and Agriculture for the best breeding performance innovations competition in the open on the Federal Garden Show Munich by the Minister Renate Künast on 9 October 2005. According to him, the fuchsias type settings " Wilfried Bergerhoff ”.

Wilfried Bergerhoff was with Christine Bergerhoff, geb. Neudörfer married. He had two children: Susanne (* 1963) and Stefan (* 1965).

politics

Bergerhoff became a member of the SPD on October 1, 1964. His functions and offices in various committees of the party, associations and institutions include the board of the Wiehler SPD, the DDFGG and the home association Wiehl.

He was a member of the district council of the Oberbergischer Kreis from September 30, 1979 to 1997. After Bergerhoff was a member of the committees of the Wiehler Council as a competent citizen from 1964 to 1972, he was a council member of the city of Wiehl from January 11, 1972 to October 12, 2004. There he held the office of honorary mayor from 1983 to 1997. From 1975 to 1983 and from 1997 to 1999 Bergerhoff was the first deputy mayor of his municipality.

During the entire 12th electoral period (from June 1, 1995 to June 1, 2000) Bergerhoff was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. He was directly elected in constituency 026 Oberbergischer Kreis II. Bergerhoff was a full member of the Committee for Food, Agriculture, Forests and Nature Conservation as well as the Committee for Economy, Medium-Sized Enterprises and Technology.

For his services, Federal President Horst Köhler awarded him the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany on December 3, 2008 .
