Wilfried Klaus-Dieter Buss (born October 13, 1951 in Leer / Ostfriesland ) is a Hamburg politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD).

Life

Buss graduated from high school at Ubbo-Emmius-Gymnasium in Leer / East Friesland in 1970 . Then he came to Hamburg and studied at the university . After a legal traineeship, he was employed as a teacher at an integrated comprehensive school from 1975 to 2002 . He was given early retirement after several heart diseases. Finally, in 2011, he received a new heart through a heart implantation.

In addition to his parliamentary work, he has been on the board of the "Bürgerhaus Barmbek" since it was founded in 1982 and its chairman from 1989 to 2003. He has also been a member of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO) in the Barmbek district as chairman since 2012, of the Education and Science Union (GEW) and the General German Bicycle Club (ADFC) as well as the Kulturforum Hamburg.

Buss has been a member of the SPD since 1971. Between 1982 and 1986 he was a district representative in Hamburg-Nord and a local committee member in Barmbek-Uhlenhorst .

From 2001 to 2011 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament . In February 2008 he was able to move back into parliament in the general election via the constituency list of the SPD in the constituency of Barmbek-Uhlenhorst-Dulsberg . There he sits for his parliamentary group in the submission committee and culture committee. In the previous election periods he was also a member of the Enquete Commission on School Development and the special committee “Neglected Children”. He was a technical spokesman for his political focus on education , school and culture and since 2008 for submissions. Buss was a member of the cultural deputation from 2012 to 2015.

Buss has been involved in senior policy on a voluntary basis since 2013. In 2013 he was elected chairman of the Wandsbek senior delegates' assembly and accompanies the Wandsbek senior district council.
