Wilfried M. Bonsack
Wilfried M. Bonsack (* March 7, 1951 in Berlin ; † December 15, 2012 in Berlin) was a Berlin poet, author and publisher , he ran a literary salon in Berlin-Mitte for more than 30 years .
Life
After graduating from the Gymnasium zum Grauen Kloster in Berlin-Mitte, Bonsack completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller and then studied theology and philosophy in Erfurt from 1969 to 1972. From 1971 to 1973 he worked as a lecturer at Gustav Kiepenheuer Verlag in Weimar. From 1974 to 1976 he worked at Henschel-Verlag , Berlin. From 1976 he was a freelance writer, translator, editor and editor in Berlin. From 1988 to 1989 Bonsack completed a literature course at the literature institute "Johannes R. Becher" in Leipzig. In 1990 he founded the BONsai-typART publishing house . Bonsack mainly published poetry and brought out about 30 bibliophile book editions within 10 years. From 1988 Bonsack was a member of the German Writers' Association of the GDR and from 1989 of the Association of German Writers and the New Society for Literature . In 1992, Bonsack was elected spokesman for the history commission of the Association of German Writers .
He has been running a jour fixe in Berlin-Mitte since 1974 . This first took place in his apartment at Auguststrasse 19, later at Tucholskystrasse 28 under the title jour fixe - tucho zwo Acht. There were a total of more than 500 events of this kind, the content of which included readings as well as lectures on philosophical, cultural, political and other topics.
