Wilhelm Adolf Speidel (born October 22, 1850 in Illingen , † December 18, 1891 in Nürtingen ) was a Württemberg chief bailiff.

life and work

Wilhelm Adolf Speidel was the son of a mayor . After attending the Latin school in Vaihingen an der Enz and the grammar school, he initially embarked on a notary and administrative career. From 1870 to 1874 he studied criminal sciences in Tübingen . After taking the higher administrative service exams in 1874 and 1875, he began his professional career as a senior administrator at the Oberamt Öhringen and as a councilor in the government of the Neckar District in Ludwigsburg. In 1875 he became a deputy bailiff at the Stuttgart District Office and at the Stuttgart City Administration, in 1876 he was appointed Deputy Bailiff at the Riedlingen Office and the Heidenheim Office . From 1883 to 1886 he was employed as a clerk in the government of the Danube District in Ulm. In 1887 he took up his first position as senior bailiff and board member at the Gerabronn senior office . In July 1891 he was transferred to the Oberamt Nürtingen as head of the office , but died there after only five months.
