Wilhelm Deimen

Wilhelm Deimen (born April 4, 1896 in Voßwinkel , † June 30, 1971 in Lendringsen - Hüingsen ) was a German local politician and mayor of the Menden office .

Life and work

After attending primary school , he completed a commercial training and then worked as a businessman and tax advisor. In 1919 he was co-founder and until 1921 first chairman of the local gymnastics club Vosswinkel (later gymnastics and game club Voßwinkel ). Deimen was married and had five children.

MP, public office

Deimen was a co-founder of the local CDU . From 1946 to 1969 he was a member of the municipal council of the then independent municipality of Lendringsen . There he was also deputy mayor from 1948 to 1958 and from 1946 to 1954 an arbitrator for his community. From 1948 to 1969 he was the mayor of the Menden office.

Deimen was also a member of the Iserlohn District Council from 1946 to 1948 and from 1952 to 1961 . He received the circle of honor.

Honors

In recognition of his services, the Menden office appointed him “mayor” after his departure in 1969. On June 26, 1970, the Federal President awarded him the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon . In the city of Menden a street is named after Wilhelm Deimen.
