Wilhelm Frerking

Wilhelm Frerking , pseudonym S. Wenzl , (born September 6, 1852 in Hanover ; † July 25, 1938 ibid) was a German school director , columnist , theater critic and writer .

Life

Born in the royal seat of what was then the Kingdom of Hanover , Wilhelm Frerking first attended the public school in Hanover, then the city's secondary school . After training as a teacher, he was appointed rector of the Hanoverian citizen school in 1902. On the side - but especially after retiring in 1917 - Frerking, who had joined the Hanover Art Association in 1891 , wrote in the features section and as a theater critic for the Hannoverschen Tageblatt , often under the pseudonym S. Wenzl .

Wilhelm Frerking wrote numerous, also numerous pranks and comedies . He died at the time of National Socialism in 1938.

His son was Johann Frerking .
